Terms of Use

1. Age and eligibility

You must be at least 16 to create a HESSY account. Do not create an account for someone who does not meet the minimum age. HESSY may take reasonable steps to check age where required for safety or legal compliance.

2. Your account

Give accurate registration information, keep your password private and do not let another person misuse your account. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless you have reported unauthorised access.

3. What HESSY is

HESSY combines native social features with optional connections to third-party platforms. Connected services remain independent. A feature being available in HESSY does not mean HESSY controls that provider, guarantees its availability, or can override that provider’s rules.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of content you create. By posting it to HESSY, you give HESSY a non-exclusive licence to host, store, reproduce, display, format and distribute it as needed to operate HESSY and show it according to the audience you selected. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except where copies must temporarily remain for backup, security, moderation or legal reasons.

5. Publishing to connected platforms

If you choose an external destination, you authorise HESSY to send the selected content and necessary metadata to that provider on your behalf. The external platform may apply its own formatting, moderation, rights, privacy and retention rules. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to publish the content there.

6. Resharing

HESSY may let members reshare public HESSY content. Resharing should preserve the original source or author where technically available. Private-group content is not intended for public or external resharing. Do not use resharing to harass someone, evade a block or spread content you know is unlawful or harmful.

7. HESSY AI

HESSY AI is an assistive feature, not a source of guaranteed fact or professional advice. You remain responsible for checking important information and for what you choose to publish or act on. Do not use HESSY AI to groom, exploit or sexualise minors, facilitate serious harm, harass people, expose private information, impersonate others deceptively, or evade HESSY safety controls.

AI availability, model choice and usage allowances may change. HESSY may apply per-member limits and a platform-wide spending ceiling to keep the feature sustainable.

8. Behaviour that is not allowed

Do not use HESSY for unlawful activity, threats, harassment, hate, sexual exploitation, grooming, non-consensual intimate content, doxxing, scams, malicious software, impersonation, spam, manipulation of engagement, infringement of intellectual-property rights, or content that seriously endangers another person.

9. Moderation

HESSY may remove or restrict content, limit features, suspend accounts or close accounts where reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, platform integrity or enforcement of these policies. Urgent risks may be acted on before a full review is complete.

10. Third-party links and services

HESSY posts can contain links, embeds and connected content from services we do not control. HESSY is not responsible for third-party websites, transactions or content merely because they are linked from HESSY.

11. Availability

HESSY may change, test, suspend or discontinue features. No social service can promise uninterrupted availability or permanent storage. Keep your own copy of material that matters to you.

12. Ending use

You can stop using HESSY at any time. HESSY may suspend or terminate accounts that materially or repeatedly breach these policies, create serious safety risks, or must be restricted by law.

13. Consumer rights

Nothing in these terms removes consumer, privacy or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
