1. You keep your rights

Posting to HESSY does not transfer ownership of your original work to HESSY. You give HESSY only the licence needed to host, display, format and distribute it as part of the service and according to your selected audience.

2. Only post what you can lawfully use

Do not upload photos, films, music, artwork, writing or other material unless you created it, have permission, or another legal basis allows you to use it. Simply naming the creator does not automatically give you permission.

3. Resharing inside HESSY

Use HESSY’s reshare tools where possible. They are designed to preserve source context. A reshare is not permission to remove attribution, falsely claim authorship or export somebody else’s private content.

4. Connected-platform content

HESSY may display authorised metadata, thumbnails, links or other content made available through connected services. The original platform and creator may retain rights in that material. HESSY should not silently re-upload third-party media to another platform merely because it appeared in a connected feed.

5. Cross-posting

When you ask HESSY to publish your content to another platform, you confirm that you have the rights needed for that destination. Music, video, photography, logos and branded material can have different rights depending on the platform and country.

6. Copyright complaints

If you believe material on HESSY infringes your rights, contact royscarrott@rsbse.co.uk with enough information to identify the work, the HESSY content, your relationship to the rights, and how we can contact you. HESSY may remove or restrict content while a complaint is assessed.

7. Repeated infringement

Accounts that repeatedly post infringing material may have features restricted or be suspended or closed.
