HESSY / MODERATION
Reporting & Moderation
What happens when something is reported.
Last updated: 29 September 2026
1. How to report
Use the Report control on a post or profile where it is available. Include the clearest reason you can. For a problem you cannot report in-product, contact royscarrott@rsbse.co.uk.
2. What HESSY looks at
Moderation can consider the content itself, surrounding conversation, account history, whether the content is public or private, the age and vulnerability of affected users, credible safety information, and whether a law or platform policy may have been broken.
3. Possible actions
- No action where the report does not identify a breach.
- Warning or guidance.
- Removal or reduced visibility of content.
- Restriction of comments, messaging, resharing or other features.
- Temporary suspension.
- Permanent account closure.
- Preservation or disclosure of information where required by law or necessary to respond to a serious safety issue.
4. Urgent safety reports
Reports involving child sexual exploitation, grooming, credible threats, stalking, non-consensual intimate content, or immediate risk of serious harm should be prioritised. HESSY may restrict content or accounts before completing a wider review where that is reasonably necessary to reduce risk.
5. Privacy of reports
HESSY should not publicly identify a reporter merely because they submitted a report. Information may still need to be shared internally, with service providers, regulators, law enforcement or other appropriate bodies where lawful and necessary.
6. Mistakes and review
Moderation is not perfect. If you believe HESSY took action against your account or content in error and no in-product appeal is available, contact royscarrott@rsbse.co.uk with the relevant account and content details.
7. Record keeping
HESSY may keep proportionate moderation and safety records to identify repeated abuse, explain decisions, assess risks and meet legal obligations.
